This policy covers the BodyLog app and website. Ruslan Shadura, developer of BodyLog, is the contact responsible for this policy. For privacy questions or requests, email shaduraa.g@gmail.com.
Measurements, photos and Apple Health
BodyLog lets you record body measurements and add progress photos. These records are separate from the website’s tools and analytics. Camera, photo-library and Apple Health access depend on the permissions you grant through your device.
When you connect Apple Health, BodyLog can exchange weight, height, body-fat and waist records with Health, within your permissions. You can review or revoke access in Apple’s Health controls. Revoking access does not itself delete records already saved. See data-management help for app records, Health data and purchase access.
App purchases and usage information
BodyLog uses Apple and RevenueCat to process purchases and determine Pro access. This involves purchase records, product identifiers, subscription status and an app user identifier generated by the purchase service. Payment-card details are handled by Apple, rather than entered on this website.
The app includes Google Analytics for Firebase for usage analysis. Depending on the app version and enabled collection, events can describe screen visits, onboarding choices, paywall interactions and Health-connection actions. Onboarding events can include the body-type choice when that step is offered. Analytics services can also process app-instance identifiers and device, operating-system and session information. Numerical measurements, photos and Health-record values are not fields in BodyLog’s custom analytics events.
The app’s RevenueCat integration also supports Apple Ads attribution through AdServices. When enabled, an attribution token is sent to RevenueCat to obtain campaign information from Apple. This is separate from the website’s analytics choice. Choosing or withdrawing website analytics does not change app collection or Apple permissions.
Website resources and delivery
You can read guides, download blank logs and use the converter without an account, an app installation or analytics consent. The site has no photo-upload service or online measurement account. Downloaded files are used in the application you choose to open them with.
The centimetres/inches converter calculates in your browser. Entered values are not saved as a measurement log or included in page URLs or website analytics events.
Hosting and network providers may process connection information, such as IP address and request details, to deliver pages and protect the service. This delivery processing is separate from optional analytics.
Optional website analytics
When configured, Google Analytics loads only after you allow website analytics, including a previously saved valid choice. Rejecting analytics leaves the guides, downloads, converter and App Store links available.
Website events describe pages, languages and actions such as App Store clicks, downloads, tool use and navigation. Their custom fields use page, action and resource identifiers, not entered measurements, photos or support-message contents. Google may additionally process technical browser, device and session information and use analytics cookies.
Your choice is stored in browser local storage for up to 180 days. This is the preference’s lifetime, not a retention period for all analytics data. If saving fails, the controls explain that the choice may not survive a reload. You can withdraw permission with the analytics withdrawal control. Withdrawal stops future website analytics and removes accessible site-controlled Google Analytics cookies where possible; it may reload the page. Withdrawal cannot undo earlier transmissions. If your browser cannot save the change, the site shows a warning.
Support and the purposes of processing
If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are used to respond and investigate the issue. Include only what is needed; never send passwords or full payment-card details.
Data is used to deliver the service, maintain purchase access, answer requests, understand usage and protect against misuse. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, optional website analytics relies on consent; requested services and support may rely on performing a contract or legitimate interests in operating and supporting BodyLog. Necessary legal records may be processed to meet legal obligations.
Service providers, retention and security
Apple, RevenueCat, Google, the website host and email providers process information for their respective functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. These services may process information outside your country. Their privacy and data-processing terms explain their handling and transfer arrangements: Apple, RevenueCat, Google/Firebase and Vercel.
Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle requests and related disputes or legal obligations. Purchase and usage records are subject to the relevant service’s retention settings and applicable obligations. Deleting app records, cancelling a subscription and requesting deletion of provider-held information are separate actions. Contact support to identify the information concerned. No method of storage or internet transmission guarantees complete security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to your competent data-protection authority. Send requests to shaduraa.g@gmail.com; enough information to identify the relevant record may be needed. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or claims.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to BodyLog, contact the address above so that it can be investigated and appropriate deletion steps taken.
External links and policy changes
External websites and services have their own privacy policies. Changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or a new consent choice, those requirements continue to apply.
